When we think about moving to another country, studying abroad or situations that require documents, we come across various terms and one of them is the \"Hague Apostille\".<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Apostille, also called the Hague Apostille, is a certificate issued under the terms of the Apostille Convention that authenticates the origin of a Public Document (birth, marriage and death certificates, school transcripts, diplomas, among others).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Where did the Hague Apostille come from?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Hague Convention, a treaty signed by Brazil in the second half of 2015, aims to speed up and simplify the legalization of documents between the 112 signatory countries, allowing the mutual recognition of Brazilian documents abroad and foreign documents in Brazil.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Where and how to get the Hague apostille?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

When apostille is required for Brazilian documents, it can only be done in Brazil at certain authorized notary offices. All you have to do is take it to one of these notaries. Apostille includes a physical copy that must be glued or attached to the original and an electronic copy. The cost varies according to each state and can take an average of 5 working days or more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
